Columnist Ahoy Synthesis

Gail Collins- New York Times

Ms. Collins is more concerned with political leaders and their views rather than her own views on society.  She is so connected to the Republican campaign and how it will affect the political aspect of this country.  Her focus on issues with teens and school are tied into her question of how our government will help or harm the cause.  The excitement of scandal, oddball candidates, and they're ideas is what Collins is most fascinated about, and therefore it is her purpose in being a columnist.

Dec. 7, 2011

3 Big Points:
1. Herman Cain brings an emotional appeal to the political world
2. He won't give up, and his legacy will carry on even if not in the election
3. The scandal is just a publicity stunt to ruin Cain's campaign, but he will only rise from it

Can They Be Beat?!!!

The Packers are at home this week against the Raiders.  Can they pull off another win, and secure 1st seed in the Playoffs?

Nov. 30, 2011- Virtually Educated

3 BIG Points:
1. The growing fanatic of cyber-schooling is still undergoing research.
2. These children enrolled are successful, but are being worried about their social life
3. How is the big cyber-school funding this program, and how much money are they actually attaining from it?

Mrs. Collin's column begs this question: Is cyber-schooling the future, and how big of an impact could it have on our society?

Nov. 25, 2011: Ok, Now Ron Paul:

Miss Collins is adding her opinion into the mix of the ever so changing Republican Debates.

4 Big Points:
1. Ron Paul is consistent, but not capable of winning the election.
2. He is against many things that are backed up by the constitution, yet he says he's for the constitution.
3. No marriage licenses!?
4. Wants to rid of the Federeal Reserve and go back to minting our own money

Basically states that this man is hypoctritical, not a good candidate, but a very interesting fellow.

The article says how the Facebook attack planned for November 5, 2011 is a dud, but it hasn't happened yet, so we cannot know.  I wouldn't underestimate Anonymous, because they hacked the Playstation Network and stole the information of over 7 million credit cards.  These guys aren't to be messed with.

The picture itself is the Anonymous logo.  The seal in the back represents their power over the world, with a push of a button, they can create chaos anywhere in the world.  The second key piece to their logo is the suit, explaining how these people in the group can blend in to the world, undetected by the higher authorities.  Lastly, they have a question mark in place of their head, which means that no one but themselves know who they are.  Their identities are masked, undetected, and they are powerful.

* Obama needs to step up as president if he wants a second term
* The government in the financial crisis has only made things worse
* Obama hasn't hepled with homeowners, which is one of the main financial problems in America.
* He has helped a little, with his stimulus plan, but it isn't enough
